Congo is full of landscapes and places where life is good. The Congo can not leave anyone indifferent, there is always something that challenges: the smells of good grills everywhere, the delicious little dishes, the sweet warmth, the colors of loincloths, the smiles of children and people in general, the music that resonates everywhere, the laughter, the little bars everywhere! And this Nature! Oh, how beautiful is nature in Congo!
We have been spent exploring with family some countries that will remain forever etched in my memory. Congo has so many landscapes and atmospheres! We explored Brazzaville, Pointe Noire and the village of Koumou in the Batéké plateaus. I will share with you some of my sweet memories ... have a good trip ....

We explored Brazzaville, Pointe Noire and the village of Koumou in the Batéké plateaus. I will share with you some of my sweet memories ... have a good trip ....
Among these memories, the visit of the Cataractes, this beautiful and mysterious place formed of sand beach and polished rocks where the river Djoué flows into the Congo River. After having proposed to cross the shore in a dugout canoe, a guide accompanied us and we walked and crossed the rocks one by one until we reached the grandiose view of the Congo River in fury: unforgettable
We decided to go to discover Pointe Noire but we wanted to take in the view: so what better than to travel by train for that?
We were not disappointed ! The crossing is certainly long (about 15 hours) to make Brazzaville - Pointe Noire, but only landscapes discovered and small villages! Nothing like to observe nature.
Pointe Noire left us with wonderful memories of meals taken on the beach, tastings of grilled fish, grilled lobsters and fresh beer: magical!
Around Pointe Noire there are 2 pearls: Le Relais du Kouilou in Matombi with its small beach at the foot of the restaurant, and the Pointe Indienne which is just beautiful, with its wild and unspoilt beach where we met small fishermen.

Finally, we returned to Brazzaville by train, then we left for a great adventure: to leave in a small village in the batéké trays called Koumou.
Travel in 4/4 obliged for about 5 hours but again: what an adventure!
This small preserved village is beautiful and authentic! The locals welcomed us with smiles that never left their faces during our stay. Their kindness and hospitality warmed our hearts.
Then we ended with a meeting, in a nearby village, with Pygmies with whom we shared an emotional moment!

All these moments, all these encounters will remain forever etched in my memory. Congo is very beautiful and deserves to be discovered. Travel makes us more open to others and more curious, you just have to know how to observe.
